Cramapple Terms and Conditions

Status: Draft for product and counsel review Applies to: Cramapple web, mobile, and related services Last updated: 2026-06-22

1. Plain-English Summary

Cramapple is a study tool built to help AP Biology students use limited time more effectively. It gives instruction, practice, feedback, and progress guidance. It is not an official College Board product, it does not guarantee any score, and it should not be treated as a replacement for your own study effort, a teacher, or a tutor.

Some student responses, practice activity, and related outputs may be used anonymously to improve Cramapple. Do not submit personal information you do not want handled in that way.

If you are using Cramapple on behalf of a student, you are responsible for making sure you are allowed to do so and for any permissions that apply to the student.

2. Agreement to These Terms

By creating an account, accessing the service, or using any Cramapple page, product, or feature, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Cramapple.

If we offer a beta, preview, waitlist, pilot, or other experimental version, that version may include additional rules or limitations. Those additional rules will apply to that version.

3. Who Cramapple Is For

Cramapple is designed primarily for AP students, beginning with AP Biology. The product is built for students who want to optimize exam points with limited time.

Parents, guardians, tutors, and teachers may also interact with Cramapple where a feature supports that role. Some features may be limited to students, while future features may be limited to approved parent or guardian accounts.

4. Accounts and Eligibility

You must provide accurate information when creating an account or using the service.

You agree that:

  • you will not impersonate another person;
  • you will not create or use accounts with false information;
  • you will keep your login credentials secure;
  • you are responsible for activity that happens through your account;
  • you will promptly notify us if you think your account has been compromised.

If you are under 13, do not create an account or use the service unless we explicitly tell you that a parent or guardian has provided the required consent for that feature or version. Even then, do not submit personal information unless the product specifically asks for it and tells you it is safe to do so.

If you are a parent or guardian using Cramapple for a student, you agree that you have the authority to do so and that you will supervise use as needed.

5. Educational Use and Service Limits

Cramapple is a study and feedback tool. It is designed to help students improve their preparation for AP Biology and related AP work, but it is not:

  • an official score report;
  • a guarantee of a particular AP score;
  • a replacement for a teacher, school, or tutoring program;
  • a legal, medical, or counseling service;
  • a promise that every answer will be graded perfectly or that every recommendation will be correct.

We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including experimental features, without guaranteeing that any specific feature will remain available.

6. Student Content and Submissions

You may submit answers, questions, images, documents, feedback, and other material to use the service.

You are responsible for making sure that what you submit:

  • is yours to submit, or you have permission to submit it;
  • does not include personal information unless the feature specifically asks for it;
  • does not violate another person’s rights;
  • does not include malware, harmful code, or attempts to break the service;
  • does not include confidential or restricted exam content, unless the product explicitly allows that use.

You should not use Cramapple to submit:

  • your real name or someone else’s real name when the feature does not require it;
  • school names, student IDs, phone numbers, addresses, or email addresses in free-text responses;
  • photos or files that include unnecessary personal information;
  • anything you do not want processed as part of the service.

7. How We May Use Submitted Content

You grant Cramapple the rights needed to operate the service, including to host, process, analyze, display, reproduce, and create derivative technical outputs from your submissions as necessary to provide grading, feedback, progress tracking, moderation, support, and service improvement.

We may use anonymized or deidentified student responses, attempts, and related outputs to improve:

  • grading quality;
  • teaching quality;
  • recommendations;
  • evaluation and validation workflows;
  • model and prompt behavior;
  • product reliability.

That improvement use does not mean we are giving your personal information to third parties. It means we may use the content you submit in ways that are necessary to make Cramapple better, subject to the Privacy Policy and any applicable law.

If we offer a public publication feature for student-submitted questions or answers, that feature will only apply when the submission passes the product’s quality and publication checks and when the product indicates publication is enabled.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • reverse engineer, scrape, probe, or overload the service;
  • try to bypass rate limits, access controls, or safety checks;
  • use the service to violate academic honesty rules in a way the feature does not permit;
  • upload or transmit malware, harmful code, or spam;
  • use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive activity;
  • attempt to access data you are not authorized to see;
  • copy, reuse, or redistribute Cramapple content in violation of these Terms or a separate license.

If we believe your use creates risk for the service, other users, or Cramapple’s legal or operational obligations, we may restrict or suspend access.

9. Cramapple Content and Intellectual Property

Cramapple, including its software, interface, product design, brand elements, and original educational content, is owned by Cramapple or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Unless we say otherwise in writing:

  • you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose;
  • you do not own the service, its content library, or its underlying models or prompts;
  • you may not copy or redistribute Cramapple content except as the service specifically allows;
  • you may not remove proprietary notices.

If we provide a downloadable, exportable, or shareable output, that output may be subject to separate use conditions.

10. Feedback

If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback, you agree that we may use them without compensation or obligation to you.

11. Payments and Entitlements

Some features may require payment, a subscription, an entitlement, or another form of access control.

If payment is required:

  • prices and billing terms will be shown before purchase where applicable;
  • taxes may apply;
  • refunds, if any, are governed by the purchase terms shown at checkout or in the applicable sales policy;
  • payment does not automatically grant access to every feature or every data type.

Payment eligibility and data access are separate decisions. A person may be eligible to buy a feature without being entitled to see every student record.

12. Parent and Guardian Features

Some future features may allow a parent or guardian to see an approved aggregate summary of a student’s progress.

Any parent or guardian feature:

  • may require separate verification;
  • may require explicit relationship, consent, and eligibility checks;
  • may show only approved aggregate information;
  • may not expose the student’s full conversations, private responses, or other sensitive details unless the product clearly says otherwise.

13. Privacy and Data Use

Our collection and use of data are described in the Privacy Policy. In general, Cramapple is designed to minimize unnecessary personal data and to keep student learning data protected while still allowing the service to work.

14. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis;
  • we do not promise that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects;
  • educational feedback and estimated guidance are informational and experimental, unless a feature is explicitly described as validated;
  • no result, estimate, or recommendation should be treated as a guarantee of an exam outcome.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cramapple and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for losses caused by reliance on educational feedback, except where such limitations are not permitted by law.

16. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe:

  • you violated these Terms;
  • your use is unsafe, abusive, or unlawful;
  • the account is compromised;
  • the service needs to protect users, content, or operations;
  • a feature or account type is no longer supported.

You may stop using the service at any time.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will use a reasonable method to notify users. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them.

18. Contact

If you have a question about these Terms, contact the Cramapple team through the support channel listed on the site or in the app.
